Leaf has been doing things alittle different than most products lately, with card sets that are based mostly all on one Great. First a great Ali product, followed by the Pete Rose cards, and now Green Bay Packer fans will take notice on this next set. It’s the Vince Lombardi’s Legacy set. Leaf teased the product with release of a few pics of the autos that will be in the set (see above). Besides releasing  a few shots of the cards not much other info has been released yet, except Leaf has said that a inscription auto will appear in every pack.

Chicago Cubs fan Joe Couri, had a interesting drive home the other night. According to the Journal Star in Peoria, Couri says he was driving along Interstate 74 in central Illinois when an accident backed up traffic, thats when he said he saw a World Series hat among debris on the road.

It turns out it wasnt just any old hat but a 2011 World Series championship cap autographed by some of the World Champion St. Louis Cardinals, and get this the Chicago Cubs fan wants to give it back.

Couri says the hat is signed by Freese, Molina, Motte and others including an “unexpected auto”. Couri hopes the owner will come forward to get his hat back and be able to tell who that “unexpected auto” is

2011 Topps Update has just hit the shelfs and the World Series isn’t even over yet, but it’s never to early to take a look at next years Topps Baseball release.

COMC will be at the Chicago Suntimes Show November 18th-20th.  Steve Hollander  an employee, with COMC  handles the responsibilities for Card Show drop-offs. Collectors can drop off their cards at the COMC booth and save on postage.  A COMC spokesperson says Card Show drop-offs are getting so popular, we thought it best to put up a convenient guide to where you can find Steve over the coming months. Check it out by clicking here.

Tonight kicks off the NFL season, a perfect night to open some football cards and watch the game, right? So I stopped at Walmart on the way home, just to see that this Walmart SUCKS. The Topps Legends site finally went live this week, and opened to mix reviews from collectors. Unlike the Topps Diamond baseball codes where you always got a card and then a “dig” to get a ring, the Legends site is slightly different. Collectors can uncover a special die-cut Super Bowl Legends card or one of the three types of digital items; Super Bowl coins, Super Bowl jerseys or digital rings.

I had 10 cards here’s a look at what I was able to unlock.

1) Lions Ring

2) Roger Staubach Ring

3) Joe Namath Card (Right)

4) Baltimore Colts – Super Bowl V

5) Kansas City Chiefs – Super Bowl IV

6) Washington Redskins – Super Bowl XXVI

7)New Orleans Saints – Super Bowl XLIV

8 ) Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Super Bowl XXXVII
