The seller puts it best, “I have acquired a grilled panini sandwich (turkey and cheese on flatbread), SIGNED on both halves BY BLAKE GRIFFIN. A Few Hobby Packs

It’s been awhile since I’ve visited the old card shop, so while out the other day I decided to stop by and see what was new. Not to much, most the shelfs were empty, due to a “good” weekend. Which I guess is good overall, since that means some people might still be buying stuff. So with not much to choose from I decide on 2 packs of 09 Upper Deck Football and a few packs of the 09-10 Bowman ’48 Basketball. In the football packs I pulled a Chris “Beanie” Wells UD Rookie Jersey card, I thought that wasn’t to bad, then I moved onto the ’48 Bowman and pulled a O.J. Mayo Auto card. In all I realized I might have to stop in that old shop alittle more often.

Lifelong Collection

Josh Wilker’s a 41-year-old proofreader who lives in Ukrainian Village, is quick to point out that his collection is incomplete and his most valuable card is probably worth no more than $5. “For me, it’s all about a way to access my childhood and think about those years, and think about the years that came after,” said Wilker, who recently signed a contract to write a book about his collection and his lifelong love of baseball. Bad cards, bad design, stay away. Guys that were traded last year still in their old uniforms. Case in point Ken Griffey Jr’s card. It shows Griffey in his Reds uniform, the card has a White Sox logo. Come on… and your even more behind becuase know he’s back in Seattle.
