Basketball and Indiana goes hand in hand and for some Marion Giants basketball fans, on February 20th the first 2,500 fans to come out to Bill Green Athletic Arena for the Marion – Lebanon game will receive a limited edition card set honoring the legacy of Marion Giants basketball.
Panini America has created a 54 card set that celebrates years of Giants history. Covering Players, Coaches, Indiana All-Stars, State Championships and a few surprises also.
Alot went into getting this off the ground but was made possible thanks to Dr. Courtney Gorman (MHS Class of 1979) and Robert J. Hull (MHS Class of 1991).
A long list of Giants legends will be attending this historic event, including Dave Colescott, Jeff Todd, James Blackmon, Kyle Persinger, just to name a few. Special guests will also include Bill Green’s family and the grandson of 1926 State Champion Coach Eugene Thomas, traveling in from New Mexico for this historic evening.
